Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as Night Auditor. The Night Auditor works at the front desk of a hotel during the night and ensures the quality and integrity of the establishment are maintained. Duties include completing the Front Desk checklist, performing marketing duties (upselling) to generate revenue, providing excellent service to guests and visitors, and following security and liability measures to protect hotel assets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Balance accounts from day shift
- Welcome guests, assign rooms, and manage front desk activity including check-ins and check-outs
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify ID and payment method
- Register guests with necessary information (contact details, dates of stay)
- Ensure customer satisfaction by scheduling wake-up calls and handling guest requests
- Respond to guest complaints professionally and promptly
- Create invoices, bills, and checks for vendors, employees, and contractors
- Update and maintain official documentation pertaining to the role
- Ensure end-of-day activities are completed
- Answer calls and inquiries related to potential bookings
- Provide information about hotel, room availability, rates, and amenities
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are available for check-in and that check-outs are completed
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized experiences for guests and events
- Maintain knowledge of standards and company policies
- Complete computerized audit functions at the end of the business day, including recording daily financial transactions and posting charges
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Previous experience as a hotel Front Desk Agent preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and communicate with guests and other departments
- Familiarity with computer operations
- Familiarity with office equipment (copier, printer, fax, telephone)
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and stay disciplined
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stand for long periods; use arms, hands, and legs; handle objects; reach; stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Close, distance, and color vision
- Work overnight hours (approximately 10:00–11:00 pm) and stay alert for at least 8 hours
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
- High school education or equivalent required; some college preferred
- Six months related experience or training preferred
- Ability to work in a team and, on occasion, independently on shift
