Overview
IT Operations – Information Technology Support Specialist for the Division of Student Affairs. The IT Support Specialist provides frontline technical support for hardware and software, troubleshoots issues, and maintains systems. Requires strong customer service, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a team-oriented university environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline technical support for Division of Student Affairs hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and support IT equipment and applications; create and maintain technical documentation.
- Demonstrate reliable, regular attendance and foster collegial working relationships.
- Work within state and federal laws and institutional policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
- OR at least two years of relevant experience providing technical support in a customer-facing role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and iOS/iPadOS environments
- Experience with configuration management and software deployment
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Active Directory
- Asset management experience (hardware lifecycle, inventory audits, decommissioning)
- Experience supporting conference room setups
- Experience with ITIL service management and enterprise ticketing systems (TeamDynamix, ServiceNow, etc.)
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification
- Valid driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve user issues quickly and professionally
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain technical information to non-technical users
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to create and maintain documentation regarding systems and procedures
- Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies
- Ability to work in a welcoming student-centered environment

- Salary Information: $43,923 ( Commensurate with education and experience )
