The Stanford Department of Pediatrics is committed to advancing the health of infants, children, and adolescents through innovative medical care, research, education, training, and advocacy. With over 400 pediatricians and subspecialties, the department is one of the largest in the Stanford University School of Medicine. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology is recruiting a pediatric cardiologist with experience in pediatric pulmonary hypertension to join the Division as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator line. Academic rank and line will be determined by qualifications and experience. The successful applicant must have a medical degree (MD) or equivalent and clinical training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology (fellowship completed and board eligible/certified). Advanced clinical training and/or post-fellowship clinical experience in pediatric pulmonary hypertension is preferred. The Pediatric Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program at Stanford is a leading center for research, diagnosis, and treatment of pulmonary vascular disease in children. The program provides inpatient consultations and dedicated outpatient clinics, with a multidisciplinary team and collaboration with related programs and services within LPCHS and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health.

Responsibilities

Attend on the inpatient Pulmonary Hypertension Consult Service at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford (LPCHS). Provide outpatient clinical care of children with pulmonary vascular disease in the Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center. Provide primary inpatient service coverage on the ACCU unit and maintain a panel of patients in outpatient clinics. Participate in multidisciplinary subspecialty clinics as opportunities arise. Train residents and categorical fellows in Pediatric Cardiology; faculty may train up to one senior fellow in Pediatric Pulmonary Vascular Disease annually. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Pediatric Cardiology, Cardiac Intensive Care, and Pulmonary Medicine, and with nurse practitioners, a social worker, and a genetic counselor. Engage with related programs such as the Alagille Syndrome Program, CRIB Program, CEAL, and PAR, and participate in research and educational activities supported by the Vera Moulton Wall Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease. Qualifications

Medical degree (MD) or equivalent; clinical training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology (fellowship completed; board eligible/certified). Advanced clinical training or post-fellowship clinical experience in pediatric pulmonary hypertension is preferred. Demonstrated outstanding clinical abilities in the care of infants and children with pulmonary vascular disease. Program and Environment

Faculty will be part of the Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center and may collaborate with the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies (PACT) team and other Stanford Medicine departments. — The expected base pay range for this position is Clinical Assistant Professor: $294K - $313K; Clinical Associate Professor: $339K - $357K; Clinical Professor: $414K - $442K.
