We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Nurse Manager to lead the Labor & Delivery unit at a major medical center in Seattle. This role oversees clinical and operational activities in a busy L&D department serving a diverse population and is supported by a dedicated interdisciplinary leadership team. Department Details
30-bed labor unit with 9-bed OB ED and 4 ORs ~550–600 births per month; deliveries from 22–23 weeks gestation Level IV NICU (77 beds) with in-house 24/7 anesthesia, laborists, and neonatology Collaborative care teams including MFM, CNMs, OBs, and Family Medicine Supportive programs: Addiction recovery, Doulas, and Cultural Navigators Responsibilities
Provide 24/7 clinical and operational oversight for L&D Lead staffing, quality improvement, DEI initiatives, and culture-building efforts Hire, mentor, and support nursing staff across all shifts Partner with CNS and perinatal educators on evidence-based practice and staff education Ensure adherence to standards of care and regulatory compliance Collaborate with senior leadership and clinical supervisors for seamless unit operations Qualifications
BSN or Master’s degree in Nursing Active RN license in Washington State BLS (AHA) certification Minimum 3 years of recent L&D nursing experience At least 2 years of charge, supervisory, or nurse management experience in L&D Experience with staffing strategy, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration Benefits
