Position Summary

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

The role involves leading teams or crews in installation and performing service for new equipment installation, repairs, and system troubleshooting. The position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities :

• Perform installation and service of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and other security-related systems. Install, configure, and test equipment and devices to ensure completion of the final product.
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment and devices as necessary.
• Upgrade and add to systems to enhance functionality and usability.
• Perform programming tasks to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems as needed.
• Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings and prints to install equipment correctly.
• Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to the reporting systems.
• Lead teams and delegate tasks, demonstrating proper techniques.
• Be adaptable and willing to perform any required tasks to complete daily objectives.

Required Knowledge / Skills, Education, and Experience :

• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
• Good communication skills and the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
• Experience with IP-based systems.
• Reliable transportation to travel within the metroplex.
• Knowledge of Software House, Open Option, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, Salient, and Lenel is a plus.
• Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
