The Town of Lunenburg’s Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Seasonal Cemetery Laborer

Working under the direct supervision of the Cemetery Superintendent, this position:

Job Duties

• Performs a variety of unskilled labor duties and operations of the grounds maintenance of Town cemeteries.
• May be assigned to other Town facilities.
• Day-to-day work is performed with a high degree of independence.
• Most work is performed outdoors and at multiple locations under a variety of weather conditions.
• Operates power equipment, such as dump truck, lawn mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, leaf blowers and other grounds maintenance equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 2 years related landscape maintenance or landscape construction experience.
• Or any combination of training and experience so as to demonstrate possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work.
• Must have and maintain valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle License and be 18 years of age or older.

This is a seasonal, non-benefited position, through November 15, 2025. Pay Range: $19.06/hr.-$23.43/hr.
