We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency Medicine. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals in need of urgent medical attention. As a Locum MD or DO, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging cases, making a significant impact on the community's health. As a Locum MD or DO in Emergency Medicine, you will be involved in fast-paced and dynamic projects where quick thinking and decisive actions are essential. Your role will be instrumental in stabilizing patients, diagnosing conditions accurately, and providing appropriate treatment in high-pressure environments. Joining our team will allow you to showcase your medical skills while contributing to the efficient delivery of emergency medical services. Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emergency medical situations and provide immediate care. Perform medical assessments, examinations, and diagnostic tests on patients. Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stabilize patients experiencing trauma, injuries, or acute medical conditions. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established guidelines. Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress accurately. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members in high-stress situations. Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty. Valid state medical license and DEA registration. Demonstrated experience in emergency medical care and trauma management. Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient care. Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a No call shifts Ongoing coverage Level III trauma facility Daily Volume: 80 patients EMR: Allscripts Must be board-certified Paid travel & lodging
