Purpose
We are seeking a
Senior Contracts Manager
for the negotiation, administration, and lifecycle management of contracts across the aerospace, defense, and automotive sectors. This role requires a strong background in government and commercial contracting, and the ability to partner with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure Divergent’s contractual commitments are executed effectively. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in navigating FAR/DFARS requirements, and long-term automotive supply contracts. The Role
Contract Administration & Compliance Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from proposal support through closeout. Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and other applicable U.S. government regulations. Manage modifications, extensions, and renewals in line with Divergent’s business objectives. Reporting & Process Improvement Develop and implement best practices in contract management to improve efficiency and compliance Maintain accurate contract records and reporting systems. Contract Negotiation & Drafting Support legal team in negotiating agreements with government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial customers. Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks across defense and automotive programs. Provide clear guidance on contractual obligations, rights, and risks. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with program management, supply chain, finance, and legal teams to ensure contract requirements are fully understood and executed. Support business development in preparing bids, proposals, and responses to RFPs. Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 5+ years of contracts management experience, with significant exposure to aerospace, defense, and/or automotive sectors. In-depth knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), ITAR, and export compliance. Strong negotiation, drafting, and risk assessment skills. Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and manage multiple priorities.
