Join us as a Kittitas Development Coordinator, where you’ll contribute to efficient office operations, provide essential administrative support, and help support our mission of affordable homeownership. Your Impact

Event Management

Lead the coordination and execution of all major Kittitas County events, including the Gala, Golf Tournament, Affinity Builds, Make a Difference Day, Groundbreakings, and Home Dedications. Develop and manage an annual events calendar with defined goals, budgets, timelines, and ROI metrics. Oversee event logistics, vendor contracts, volunteer assignments, and run-of-show. Train and coordinate event volunteers to ensure successful execution. Partner with event planners, vendors, and internal teams to keep event timelines organized and on track. Maintain regular communication with the Area Director on progress, budget approvals, milestones, and areas of concern. Track, evaluate, and report on event performance to identify improvements for future planning. Volunteer Engagement

Design and implement a county-wide volunteer engagement strategy to support construction, store operations, events, and administrative needs. Recruit, train, and retain volunteers, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Develop and manage a volunteer recognition and appreciation program. Partner with Construction and Homeowner Services teams to oversee sweat equity tracking and compliance. Maintain accurate volunteer data and reporting using NXT and other systems. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as the primary liaison with community partners for volunteer and event-related initiatives. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency in event and volunteer management. Collaborate with marketing, communications, and development teams to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and collateral. Participate in organizational strategic planning, revenue goal-setting, and annual budgeting processes. Supervise, mentor, and provide direction to future Volunteer Coordinator(s), interns, and event support staff. What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, event management, marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit leadership. Proven experience in donor and sponsor relations, as well as community outreach. Exceptional project management, organizational, and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, CRM databases (NXT preferred), and volunteer management systems. Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and motivate staff and volunteers.
