Compensation Pay Range:$16.66-$23.80/Hrs
Description Operate and maintain hemodialysis equipment. Perform patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Administer medications as ordered by the physician. Monitor patient's condition during dialysis and report to charge nurse. Participate in planning short-range goals for patients. Ensure patient safety and follow universal precautions. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
Key Responsibilities Set up and test dialysis machines and monitoring devices. Initiate and terminate hemodialysis treatment. Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of dialysis machines. Handle dialyzers to prevent the spread of infections. Participate in performance improvement activities. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Contribute to team meetings and unit projects.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; applicable work experience may be considered. Ability to organize multiple activities and communicate effectively. Effective interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff. Ability to lift/move heavy objects/patients with or without reasonable accommodations.
