About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP of Operations to take on a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end operational performance of its multi-site cheese production facilities. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing and maintaining best practices in production, food safety, and team management across all locations. This high-impact leadership position requires a seasoned executive with a proven track record in cheese manufacturing and multi-site plant leadership, who can drive productivity, quality, and safety standards, manage capital projects, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. The role also involves promoting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices, as well as collaborating with senior leadership to align operations with business goals. Applicants for the VP of Operations role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a multi-site leadership capacity. Direct experience in cheese manufacturing within the dairy industry is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel regularly between the company's facilities. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, food science, or a related field is required, along with experience in managing large-scale operations, cross-functional teams, and familiarity with food safety systems and quality programs. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is also necessary for this role.
