Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of conventional duties relating to human relations program areas and to complete developmental assignments and training outlined in the formal training and development program.

Duties
- Performs a variety of highly structured, entry-level human resources work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill to perform higher level assignments.
- Performs a variety of routine work assignments selected by the supervisor or experienced employee who serves as training monitor.
- Observes and assists an experienced employee by performing routine tasks, such as reviewing basic qualifications requirements; analyzing position data; preparing job descriptions; reviewing and applying procedures pertaining to employee relations.
Qualifications
To qualify for a GS-07: Completion of 1 full year of graduate education, or bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement, or 5 academic years of pre-professional study, or 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-5.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 level or equivalent. Examples include: supporting HR actions, assisting with HR information systems, and processing HR actions for various employee categories. This experience must be equivalent to GS-05 in Federal service. Applicants in the Best-qualified category will be referred for further review. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): 1) Knowledge of basic HR principles; 2) Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; 3) Ability to gather facts and use analytical methods to assess information and solve problems; 4) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and transcripts: Education must be accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. You may be required to provide transcripts. If relying on education to qualify, you must provide documentation as described in the vacancy notice.
