About the Role
The Company is actively seeking a dynamic Chief Health Officer (CHO) to be a vital member of its Executive Team. This pivotal role focuses on promoting and delivering exceptional health and behavioral health services while ensuring financial sustainability. You will be at the forefront of initiatives aimed at enhancing the health and quality of care for our diverse populations. Your responsibilities will include assessing the quality of care, addressing social determinants of health, and providing medical leadership across various domains, including employee benefits design.
As the CHO, you will serve as a key liaison to the health and behavioral health care provider community. To qualify for this role, applicants should be licensed to practice medicine in the state of NM or possess the ability to obtain a license within 90 days of hire. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is necessary, with preference given to candidates holding an MD or DO, board certification in pertinent specialties, and an advanced degree.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in clinical medicine, specifically in areas such as adult care, pediatrics, family medicine, or internal medicine, along with experience in Medicaid or managed care systems. We are looking for someone who is data-driven, possesses a comprehensive understanding of medical and behavioral health care principles, and demonstrates strong leadership, management, and collaboration skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral, are essential, as is the capacity to engage with diverse populations in a sensitive and diplomatic manner.
