Jerry.ai is looking for a
Director, Business Operations & Strategy (Marketplace Growth)
to help scale our core insurance business. This high-visibility role reports to the VP of Insurance Operations and owns the systems, strategy, and execution behind Jerry’s quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to create a seamless user experience and drive carrier success to improve loss ratio, retention, and conversion. This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategy of a category-defining fintech company at scale. Jerry.ai is building the first super app to make car ownership affordable and accessible—insurance, buy/sell, registration, loans, safety, repairs, and more—a $2T market in the U.S. Since 2019 we’ve launched loan refinancing, driving insights, repair marketplace, car diagnostics, and a GenAI-powered chatbot & voicebot. We have 5M+ customers, $240M in funding, 60X revenue growth, and a team of 225 across 6 countries. Responsibilities
Own the systems, strategy, and execution behind the quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to deliver a seamless user experience and drive critical outcomes for the insurance marketplace. Define and drive initiatives to improve key metrics such as loss ratio, retention, and conversion. Partner with leadership to scale the business from 5M to 50M customers and contribute to the goal of becoming a $10B business. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research). 7+ years of management consulting experience from a top firm (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG preferred). Track record of hiring and managing high-performing teams. Structured problem-solving approach and ability to communicate with technical stakeholders, business partners, and C-suite audiences.
