Overview
Jerry.ai is seeking a
Director, Business Operations & Strategy (Marketplace Growth)
to help scale our core insurance business. In this high-visibility role, you will own the systems, strategy, and execution behind Jerry’s quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to create a seamless user experience and drive critical outcomes for our insurance marketplace (loss ratio, retention, and conversion). This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategy of a category-defining fintech company at scale. Jerry.ai is building the first super app to make car ownership affordable and accessible, focusing on insurance, finance, and related services in a $2T U.S. market.
Initial context We hit profitability in early 2024 and have ambitious goals for the next few years, including scaling from 5M to 50M customers and reaching a $10B business. The role reports directly to the VP of Insurance Operations and involves owning the strategy and execution behind the quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance, with cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, and analytics.
Responsibilities
Own the systems, strategy, and execution behind the quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance for Jerry’s insurance marketplace. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to deliver a seamless user experience and drive key metrics (conversion, retention, loss ratio). Develop and implement scalable processes and structures to support marketplace growth and profitability. Partner with senior leadership to translate company goals into actionable initiatives and roadmaps.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or similar). 7+ years of management consulting experience from a top firm (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG preferred). Track record of hiring and managing high-performing teams.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the range listed on this posting, determined by factors including skills, experience, and location. Compensation may include equity.
