RPStaffing is conducting an immediate search for the Financial Operations Support Specialist for an influential Washington, D.C.–based law and consulting firm. The firm serves as the trusted counsel to major nonprofits and corporations on diversity initiatives, government relations, and workplace policy. Job Title : Financial Operations Support Specialist Status : Temp to Hire Office Status : Hybrid Compensation : $20.00 - $21.00 Location : Washington, DC Healthcare Benefits : Offered once made permanent Candidates must currently be living in the Washington, DC area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Billing & Timekeeping Administration Generate and review invoices for services provided to clients and members, ensure accurate and compliant billing according to firm policies, maintain established billing schedule while distributing invoices via designated billing systems, post and reconcile invoices in accounting and membership systems, communicate time-entry deadlines to timekeepers and maintain billing rates, and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients. Payment Processing & Collections Receive, process, and record client and member payments, monitor accounts receivable reports and maintain accurate account reconciliation documentation, contact clients with overdue balances and assist with resolving payment discrepancies, and establish and maintain positive client relationships while ensuring timely payments. Account Administration, Reporting, & Recordkeeping Create and maintain client accounts and client matters in billing system, organize and update client billing files, prepare billing and accounts receivable reports, assist with monthly closings and financial statement preparation, support the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness, reconcile accounts and handle time/cost transfers. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Ability to quickly learn and utilize finance, accounting, and timekeeping technology platforms Demonstrated ability to organize workflow and use time effectively and efficiently Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality Demonstrated ability to provide consistently high levels of client service Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy with a laser focus on attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook ATTRIBUTES
