Overview

Network Engineer-Level IV at RWD Consulting, LLC. Location: Bethesda, MD. Onsite only. Secret Clearance required. Salary Range: $125,000-$135,000. Scope of services includes comprehensive IMIT Services for existing and ongoing, as well as emerging NCR program requirements, across areas such as Application and Web Development, Clinical Informatics, Clinical/Business Systems, End User Devices, IT Help Desk, Network Operations, Data Center Operations, and Telecommunications Engineering support. All work performed within the Continental United States (CONUS). Responsibilities

Oversees and participates in the design, testing, upgrade and integration of new or existing information networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VoIP, intranets, extranets, and other communications networks) in alignment with business requirements. Documents all aspects of the engineering process related to build/configuration, testing, and deployment of networks. Coordinates changes (new networks, upgrades, and version increments) with network administrators and stakeholders. Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard networks. Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning; evaluates new and emerging network technologies and makes recommendations. Assists network administrators with complex troubleshooting; coordinates vendor engagements if needed. May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments. Possesses and applies knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments; works with senior technical and user staff to complete projects; leads major technology assignments. Level IV performs more independent thinking and complex tasks with little supervision and may supervise others. Qualifications

Experience: Eight (8) years of progressive experience in networking. Degree/Education: Master’s Degree and/or equivalency. Certifications: CCNA or CCNP preferred and/or equivalent experience; IT-related designations: ADP/IT-II; IAT II and CE; DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirements as applicable. Requirements

After-hours on-call and downtime support on a rotational basis. Physical requirements: ability to stand for extended periods, install network equipment, lift up to 40 pounds; may require using ladders up to 10 feet. Fiber and copper cabling support as required; involvement in building renovations. Data Center Operations Support includes server/storage monitoring, incident logging, deployment of patches, and data analysis.
