AECOM is seeking a visionary and dynamic Data Center Section Manager – Power to join our team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work across AECOM’s expansive energy practice, building capabilities, driving growth, and delivering innovative solutions to some of the world’s most forward-thinking data center developers and high-tech clients. This position is a remote role. You will play a pivotal role in delivering complex, fast-paced substation, Natural Gas Power Plant, Solar, BESS, and Nuclear projects that meet the critical energy needs of data centers, with a heavy focus on natural gas generation and substations. Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellence in project delivery and client satisfaction. Serve as a thought leader in the energy sector, representing AECOM in industry forums and shaping the future of power delivery and generation for data centers. Spearhead business development efforts by identifying opportunities, leading pursuits, and crafting winning proposals. Build and nurture strong relationships with data center developers, high-tech clients, and other key stakeholders. Develop and execute strategies to expand AECOM’s presence in the data center energy market, positioning us as the go-to partner for power needs. Oversee a project portfolio of design, development, and implementation of natural gas power plants and substations that meet the unique demands of data centers. Deliver fast-paced, high-stakes projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Address technical challenges with creativity and agility, leveraging AECOM’s global expertise to deliver exceptional results. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: BA/BS and 10 years of relevant experience with focus on natural gas power plants or substations or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership. Proven success in leading pursuits, managing client relationships, and driving business growth. Understanding of the unique energy requirements for data centers, including reliability, scalability, and sustainability. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations. What We Offer
