We are searching for a creative and strategic individual to fill the role of Director of Global Environmental, Health and Safety at our Santa Clara headquarters. This position involves providing leadership and oversight for NVIDIA's worldwide environmental, health, and safety programs to uphold compliance and promote a culture of safety and sustainability. Collaborate with top-level executives and site leaders to expand programs supporting NVIDIA's growth and upholding excellent environmental, health, and safety standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Spearhead the development of NVIDIA's global environmental, health, and safety strategy, ensuring it aligns with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Coordinate and integrate enterprise-wide programs across diverse geographies and workplace environments, including R&D labs, manufacturing sites, data centers, and corporate offices.
Assure conformity with international, federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations by conducting comprehensive audits, reporting, and continuously improving programs.
Manage and uphold ISO certifications, encompassing ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001, to align with international operational benchmarks.
Mentor, encourage, and lead regional teams, encouraging teamwork, innovation, and a safe environment across all regions.
Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional partners to integrate environmental, health, and safety priorities into site development and operations.
Work together with the Corporate Sustainability team to assist NVIDIA in achieving its environmental and greenhouse gas reduction objectives.
Represent NVIDIA on a global scale in regulatory, industry, and community engagements, improving the company’s standing as a frontrunner in environmental, health, and safety stewardship.
What We Need to See: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (Master’s degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred).
8+ years developing leadership involvement in the supervision of global environmental, health, and safety schemes across intricate, multi-site enterprises.
15+ years of overall relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge in international regulatory frameworks and global standards (OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and equivalents).
Proven track record in leading high-performing teams and influencing executives to drive global strategy and culture.
Outstanding strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence at all organizational levels and across regions.
A forward-thinking, engaged supervisor with a firm sense of accountability, timeliness, and a zeal for promoting environmental, health, and safety quality.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd: Holding a CSP, CIH, CHMM, or an MBA or equivalent experience with a focus on sustainability or operations.
Experience navigating the outstanding EHS challenges of high-tech environments such as AI labs, semiconductor operations, or large-scale data centers.
Practical experience combining EHS strategies with corporate sustainability and efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
