Why This Role Is Important
Oversee full financial administration of the company, including corporate, development, construction, and property entities.
Manage accounting for development funding, loan closings, land acquisitions/dispositions, and construction draws while ensuring projects stay aligned with proforma budgets.
Provide financial oversight for active income properties, including rent processing, TICAM reconciliations, and tenant account accuracy.
Directly support the CEO/President with strategic planning, investor reporting, corporate HR/payroll, and tax coordination.
Coordinate investor relations by preparing monthly/quarterly reports and serving as a financial liaison.
Play a central role in corporate risk management, including insurance bidding, claims oversight, and tax compliance.
The Background That Fits
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) with 8–12+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership experience.
Strong real estate industry background—hands-on experience in development accounting, property management accounting, and construction cost reconciliation.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, MRI, and advanced Excel analysis.
Familiarity with real estate transaction documents (leases, zoning, surveys, title policies) and trust accounting.
Demonstrated ability to manage payroll, benefits, HR processes, and tax coordination in a corporate environment.
Proven investor relations experience, preparing accurate financial reports and supporting funding vehicles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—able to liaise with executives, property managers, developers, and investors while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
