Longstanding distributor that has been in business for close to 100 years is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller with Inventory Accounting experience.

The Controller will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial management while supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Prepare and analyze timely and accurate financial statements. Ensure compliance with tax requirements and other regulatory standards. Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury management. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Provide actionable insights and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Inventory accounting experience is required Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
