The S enior Instructional Designer
will act as a strategic partner in designing and delivering impactful learning solutions, with a particular focus on technical system training and organizational change support. This role involves applying advanced adult learning principles to conduct needs analyses, define measurable objectives, and design engaging, multi-modal curricula. The position requires expertise across the full content development lifecycle, from storyboarding to e-Learning creation, video production, and end-user communications, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and adoption. Key Responsibilities
Training Needs Analysis:
Conduct detailed assessments to identify instructional strategies, curriculum structures, and communication requirements for technical system implementations. Learning Design:
Define clear, measurable learning objectives and apply adult learning theory to create engaging, instructionally sound materials. Curriculum Development:
Design and deliver comprehensive learning programs, training plans, and multi-level curricula. Facilitation:
Lead and facilitate technical training sessions, webinars, and hands-on workshops to build end-user confidence and capability. e-Learning Development:
Create SCORM-compliant interactive learning modules, storyboards, knowledge checks, simulations, and valid assessments using tools such as Articulate 360 and Captivate. Collaboration with SMEs:
Partner with subject matter experts to transform complex information into clear and accessible learning content, including guides, manuals, and job aids. Communications & Media:
Develop supporting communications (FAQs, quick reference materials, video scripts) and produce/edit high-quality video and audio content to enhance user adoption. LMS Integration:
Ensure all e-Learning modules are uploaded and maintained in the Learning Management System (LMS) in alignment with SCORM and digital learning best practices. Project Management:
Oversee timelines, deliverables, and priorities across multiple projects, with flexibility to travel based on business needs. Required Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning methodologies. Advanced proficiency with e-Learning authoring tools (Articulate 360 Storyline & Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia). Demonstrated skill in video production, editing, and script development for learning and communication purposes. Solid understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS), SCORM standards, and digital learning best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical content to diverse audiences. Proven ability to collaborate with and guide SMEs through the content development process. Strong organizational and project management skills with experience balancing multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment. Willingness and ability to travel as needed for business requirements.
