Research Executive (Media & Strategy)
Location: Remote or Los Angeles Type: Part-Time (20 hrs/week) or Full-Time Compensation: $20 $30/hr depending on experience
Role Overview The Research Executive is the intelligence arm of the company gathering, analyzing, and packaging insights across entertainment, business strategy, funding, and competitive landscapes. You find the gold no one else sees: trends, investors, IP opportunities, and strategic data that drives every decision Yellow Corp makes.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct market and industry research across film, media, tech, and hospitality.
Analyze competitors, studios, management companies, and emerging IP.
Track investors, grants, film funds, and potential partnerships.
Summarize reports into actionable insights (executive summaries, decks, briefs).
Support pitch development, business plans, and financial models with data.
Research legal and regulatory frameworks (SBA loans, LLC structures, trademark law, etc.).
Maintain and update databases of talent, vendors, and funding sources.
Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Assistant on special projects.
Ideal Background
Strong research and analysis skills (business, entertainment, or startup experience).
Organized and detail-oriented; can distill 50 pages into a 1-page summary.
Familiarity with Notion, Google Workspace, Airtable, or similar tools.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Bonus: background in entertainment business, finance, or consulting.
