American Sign Language Adjunct Instructor

Position: Adjunct instructor in the Child & Youth Studies Department. Schedule includes day and/or evening classes, face-to-face, online, hybrid, or Synchronous Online Learning. Course locations may include Thornley, Palmer, Mt. Pleasant, or Dorchester Campus during Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an adjunct instructor for the Child & Youth Studies Department.
• Teach courses such as American Sign Language I, II, III, IV; Careers in American Sign Language; Linguistics of American Sign Language; and Deaf History and Culture.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a master’s degree in ASL, Communication Disorders, or Hearing Impairment with a certification in American Sign Language.
