Federal Express Corporation is hiring: Courier/DOT in Jacksonville

Overview

Courier/DOT position with Federal Express Corporation (FedEx). Part-time PM shift, approximately 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Driver / operator of company vehicles; provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and perform related customer service functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to maneuver packages heavier than 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Requires medical examination per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries and directions per FMCSA guidance.
• Miscellaneous: Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
