Sam's Club Position Summary : The Director, Digital Strategy will lead Sam’s Club’s digital savings and events strategy, ensuring members experience exceptional value through engaging promotions, seamless site execution, and strong event-driven experiences. What you'll do : Own Savings & Events Strategy: Lead the end-to-end strategy for all Sam’s Club digital savings and event activations. Partner Across the Business: Build strong, collaborative relationships with MAP, Marketing, Merchandising, Product, and engineering teams. Drive Execution & Program Management: Oversee flawless execution of site events. Combat Competitive Pressures: Design and launch compelling digital events. Lead & Develop Teams: Manage and inspire a team of site merchandisers, event managers, and MAP-focused leaders. Optimize Tools & Processes: Leverage tools like Tempo and established E2E QA processes. What you’ll bring : Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to set vision, build strategy, and lead high-performing teams. Event & Promotions Expertise: Deep understanding of promotional planning, program management, and site operations. Cross-Functional Influence: Experience influencing and collaborating with Marketing, Merchandising, and Product teams. Digital Operational Excellence: Strong site operations skills with a track record of executing complex campaigns. Analytical & Data-Driven Mindset: Skilled at leveraging data and analytics. Resilience Under Pressure: Comfort leading during peak holiday periods and high-visibility events. Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field and 5 years’ experience in public relations, communications or related field OR 7 years’ experience in public relations, communications or related field. 2 years’ supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications : experience developing and implementing issue advocacy or grassroots projects, experience in developing digital communication channels, experience in Walmart Communications, Marketing, or related field, experience managing digital platforms or social networks.
