VP of Accounting (Hybrid - North Shore, MA)
A leading global asset management firm is seeking a VP of Accounting to join their team. In this role, you will oversee the accounting function, financial reporting, and analysis, while managing the close process, audits, treasury operations, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, FINRA, and internal controls. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee accounting, financial reporting, and analysis functions Manage various close processes and review reconciliations to support interim and year-end audits Prepare audited financial statements for the distributor, including US GAAP-compliant footnote disclosures, ensuring accuracy and consistency Coordinate the annual external audit process, acting as the primary liaison with auditors to ensure timely deliverables and resolution of inquiries Supervise cash flow management and treasury activities Maintain compliance with internal control procedures and FINRA regulations Review quarterly FINRA and biannual SIPC filings Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to senior management Champion efficiency and automation initiatives to improve systems and processes Mentor, supervise, and develop accounting department staff Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred 8+ years of accounting experience, ideally within asset management Strong knowledge of US GAAP required Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; prior managerial experience preferred This is a full-time hybrid role (three days in-office, two days remote) offering up to $200K, bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
