Overview
The Contractor Consultants is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for both union and non-union employees. In this role, you'll process weekly payroll through Timberline/Sage for up to 50 employees, manage certified payroll and union reporting, and ensure compliance with all tax and labor regulations. You'll balance technical accuracy with employee service in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll for up to 50 employees (union and non-union) through Timberline/Sage. Analyze and prepare payroll transactions including benefits, deductions, garnishments, levies, union dues, W-4s, child support, and unemployment. Generate certified weekly payroll reports and monthly union reports. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll reporting and closing procedures. Maintain accurate employee, payroll, and union files. Track employee vacation, sick time, and attendance. Reconcile payroll and petty cash accounts. Assist with accounts payable: enter invoices, maintain vendor records, and support weekly check runs. Generate, sort, and code invoices for approval and distribution across job sites. Respond to payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies with accuracy and confidentiality. Qualifications
5+ years of payroll management experience in the construction industry. Sage/Timberline payroll software experience - minimum 5 years required. Strong knowledge of union reporting and certified payrolls. Familiarity with accounts payable, contracts, and purchase orders. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. In-depth understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Benefits
