The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Deputy Director for the Intelligence Directorate (J2), Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF-NCR), a component of the U.S. Army Military District of Washington (USAMDW) and subordinate command of the U.S. Northern Command. Duties

Serves as the "alter ego" for the Director of the Intelligence Directorate at JTF-NCR, planning, organizing, and managing the activities of the directorate. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Oversees the implementation of all applicable phases of the Intelligence Cycle. Serves as an Intelligence Operational Planner and subject matter expert (SME). Represents the Intelligence Directorate and JTF-NCR/USAMDW with a variety of command and functional area organizations. Requirements

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. U.S. Citizenship Required All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. Must be registered for Selective Service. Employee may be required to work and/or be “on call” after normal duty hours. Qualifications

To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Knowledge of and skill in applying intelligence doctrine, principles, concepts, and methodologies of all-source intelligence threat analysis and research. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, and DOD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
