District Partners is supporting a prestigious law firm in the search for a part-time Technical Support & AV Specialist. This temp-to-hire opportunity is based in Boston, split between the Waltham office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has supported high-touch environments—such as law firms or C-suites—and is looking for flexibility while continuing to sharpen their skills. It’s also a great fit for professionals balancing part-time work with a master’s program, technical certifications, or other pursuits. The role offers exposure to a polished, client-facing environment where white-glove service is the standard.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct, high-touch technical support to attorneys, senior professionals, and staff. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues quickly and professionally. Set up and maintain AV and conference room technologies for meetings, video conferencing, and presentations. Image, repair, and manage hardware devices and maintain accurate inventory. Document and escalate issues as needed, ensuring consistent communication across IT teams. Assist with office services tasks when required, showing adaptability and teamwork. Collaborate with colleagues across offices on projects and special initiatives. Requirements:
2+ years of IT support experience; law firm or C-suite/professional services experience strongly preferred. Impeccable communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows environments; AV/conference support required. Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing shifting priorities. Able to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs). High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
