Overview
Role Summary/Purpose: We are looking for a passionate and seasoned marketing professional to lead the Lifecycle Marketing team within the Health and Wellness vertical at Synchrony Financial. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will define the vision for Lifecycle marketing resources and technology stack, implement strategic planning processes, elevate insights and analytics, and streamline marketing functions to align with business objectives. This role will lead and mentor a high-performing team to drive these initiatives forward. Responsibilities
Process Management: Simplify Lifecycle Marketing’s strategic workflows; develop, manage, and optimize automated and systematic processes for strategic planning, project and campaign workflows, and stakeholder approvals. Ensure efficiency by adhering to brand, content, and regulatory compliance governances, connecting upstream strategic work with downstream execution for optimum workflows. Financial Management: Oversee $160mm+ Marketing’s budget and prioritize spend; align with enterprise financial requirements, revenue, and profitability goals. Establish fiscal-year budget accountability and align with cost-optimization strategies; implement scenario planning for resource prioritization and allocation for a large organization. Ensure marketing technology tools support complex budget management, reporting, and analysis aligned with enterprise finance requirements. Performance Management: Evaluate Marketing’s Impact; manage Lifecycle marketing’s performance and ensure campaigns deliver results aligned with business goals; optimize ROI across investments and the martech stack. Aid productivity with GenAI within tools and apps; lead learning for upskilling on martech and soft skills to maintain a progressive and modern marketing organization. Resource Management: Scale Marketing’s Resources and Agency Roster; manage internal centers of excellence, external vendors, suppliers, and agency partners; plan for capacity and resource scalability. Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus 15+ years of executive marketing leadership experience. 10+ years in areas such as consumer credit cards, healthcare, direct marketing with a focus on lifecycle marketing and promotions. Proven experience in B2B and B2C financial services with a track record of marketing strategies for diverse customer segments. 7+ years of experience planning, designing, building, or running business functions or processes; minimum 7 years of managerial responsibility. Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans that align with business objectives and drive growth. Strong understanding of financial management principles and ability to manage complex marketing budgets. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to leverage insights for decision-making. Deep knowledge of marketing technology stacks and martech strategy and roadmap. Demonstrated leadership in mentoring high-performing teams and fostering continuous learning and strategic thinking. Expertise in upskilling on emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI) and soft skills like strategic thinking and business acumen. Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Compensation and Benefits
Grade/Level: 15. Salary range: 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD annually. Eligible for Annual Incentive Plan target of 25% of salary and Annual Equity target of 25% of salary. Actual compensation offered will be based on experience, skills, and market factors; salaries may be adjusted for market conditions in CA, NY Metro, and Seattle. Eligibility and Our Commitment
