Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to provide financial vision and long-term strategy across two companies. This role will focus on guiding financial direction, capital strategy, forecasting, and risk management, while sitting on the executive leadership team as a key advisor. The Director will collaborate with leadership to ensure sustainable growth, identify opportunities for innovation, and align financial strategy with overall company goals. Job Summary

Essential Job Functions

Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and guide financial strategies that support long-term business goals for both companies. Strategic and operational financial planning: Develop and execute operational financial strategies that integrate planning, analysis, and real-time decision-making to maximize cost efficiency and deliver measurable savings. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and leadership team based on financial analysis, industry benchmarking, and scenario planning. Advise on growth opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and new investments. Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead high-level forecasting, budgeting strategy, and long-term financial planning. Provide insights and advisory support to influence executive decision-making. Evaluate capital structure, financing opportunities, and return on investment for strategic initiatives. Strategic Risk Management: Identify and assess potential financial risks and opportunities. Advise leadership on risk mitigation strategies including credit, market, and operational risks. Ensure financial strategies maintain compliance with applicable regulations. Collaboration & Leadership Influence: Serve as a key member of the leadership team for both companies. Partner with the Director of Operations and Controller to support finance department objectives without direct supervisory responsibility. Communicate financial strategy and performance to stakeholders including leadership, banks, and investors. Provide mentorship and guidance to finance leaders as needed. Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk. Oversee adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Partner with external auditors and regulatory agencies to support audits, reviews, and examinations. Develop, implement, and update financial policies and procedures to align with changing laws and best practices. Monitor compliance with corporate governance standards and ethical financial practices. Provide compliance training and guidance to finance staff and departmental leaders. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong strategic financial acumen and ability to anticipate business needs. Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence without direct authority. Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning. Ability to translate financial data into strategic insights for decision-making. Commitment to deadlines and high-level execution in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel when necessary. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior strategic financial leadership role. Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and advising executives. Experience supporting multiple business units or companies. Preferred

CPA or MBA 10+ years of experience in strategic finance leadership. Knowledge of Q360 Financial Software or similar tools. Complexity & Difficulty

Degree of Supervision/Independence: General – Works independently with access to advice and consultation when needed. Emphasis is placed on quality of completed analysis and recommendations. High degree of executive-level decision-making and influence without direct management authority. Physical Requirements
