Open Rank-General Cardiology (Finance)

In partnership with Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI), the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences, Section of General & Preventive Cardiology is seeking an academic non-invasive general cardiologist for a full-time position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. This is a full-time 12-month salaried faculty appointment with attending staff privileges at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and affiliated hospitals. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor requires a minimum of five years of productive service as an Assistant Professor or equivalent. Similarly, Full Professor requires at least five years of productive service as an Associate Professor or equivalent. Candidates must have a medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest relevant degree, with a demonstrated record in teaching, research, and service. For higher ranks, a record of creative work, publications, or recognition in the field is expected. Additional minimum requirements include holding or being eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent, and maintaining credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan and hospital staff privileges. The candidate must be board certified or eligible in Cardiology. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience, administrative leadership in outpatient practices, clinical research, and Level II certification in Echocardiography. Expertise in adult non-invasive assessment of heart disease, including surface and trans-esophageal echocardiography, stress echo, and adult congenital heart disease, is desirable. Experience with exercise testing, ECG interpretation, and ICU consultation is also preferred.
