Product Policy Manager, Search Policy - Trust and Safety The Trust & Safety team at TikTok ensures our global community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all our applications. The Search Product Policy team focuses on ensuring discovery of safe and trustworthy content, working closely with Product and Strategy teams to provide policy support for cutting-edge initiatives across all Search features.

This person will play a critical role in shaping TikTok’s safety and editorial policies for a rapidly growing suite of TikTok Search products, ensuring they are defensible, clear, and consistently applied. The successful candidate will be responsible for risk assessment, development of policies, and transparency requirements for new and emerging Search features. You will partner closely with product, enforcement, legal, and business teams, and provide thought leadership on complex and cross-cutting issues. Responsibilities: Identify and anticipate product and content safety risks to support new launches of Search policies, products and features. Support the safe and responsible development and go-to-market of Search features. Work closely with cross-functional partners and internal experts to understand emerging trends or risks and drive the implementation of solutions. Provide prompt and professional input from the user safety perspective to support associated product feature launches. Cultivate a deep understanding of Search features, and enforcement requirements to support the development, launch and training of effective UGC content policies, guidance and safety strategies. Conduct research into Trust and Safety best practices and analyze existing policies and procedures to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or conflicts and develop solutions to resolve. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of experience working in the technology industry, with exposure to model training, policy development, program management, and/or risk assessment. Demonstrated systematic thought process regarding policy and experience working with engineering, product and technical design teams. Strong attention to detail, highly self-driven and results oriented. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to develop sound research methodologies and collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret data. Experience working in a start-up, or being part of new teams in established companies. Able to articulate and defend a policy position and lead to consensus.
