The Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team is growing, and as a Senior Manager you will play a key role in that growth. You will work across Federal GPS sector service lines, communicating strategic goals and listening to clients to provide an exceptional experience in a field where there are no off-the-shelf recommendations. Your Key Responsibilities
Think on your feet to tackle complex issues and challenge existing practices Collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines, build relationships, and identify opportunities to apply EY knowledge for clients Travel regularly to meet with key clients Skills and Attributes for Success
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with audit client personnel, assess client satisfaction, and maintain contact throughout the year Direct field work, inform supervisors of engagement status, and manage assurance staff performance Demonstrate thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations Develop people through delegating audit tasks and guiding assurance staff Provide performance feedback, training, and reviews for assurance staff Contribute ideas to assurance teams and respond to colleagues’ views Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment Use technology to learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery Develop understanding of EY service lines and encourage team members to contribute ideas Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business; 7+ years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience with Federal US GAAP U.S. CPA license in your work state Excellent project management, communication and negotiation skills; collaborative leadership Proven record of mentoring and improving a high-performing team Integrity and teamwork Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Willingness to travel (approximately 25–30% or more) in a hybrid environment Ideally you’ll also have
