Controller
to take the reins of its accounting function and drive financial excellence until a CFO is brought on board. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead full-cycle accounting, GAAP reporting, audits, and compliance while streamlining processes, implementing best practices, and preparing the business for its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and independent problem-solver with sharp critical thinking, advanced Excel skills, and the confidence to own complex financial operations while collaborating seamlessly with leadership and the wider team. Salary Range
$175,000 - $180,000 / year Controller Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations Support NetSuite system implementation Prepare accurate financial statements and GAAP-compliant reports Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors, providing guidance as needed Ensure compliance with debt covenants, loan agreements, and lender reporting requirements Review contracts, agreements, and leases to implement appropriate accounting processes Collaborate with leadership and team members to streamline processes and provide financial insights Analyze financial models in Excel and provide actionable recommendations Controller Requirements
10+ years of accounting experience with exposure to debt covenants, compliance, and lender reporting Bachelor’s degree in accounting required Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing for and managing audits Proven ability to review agreements and implement accounting processes Advanced Excel skills Experience with accounting software and ERP systems Experience working for established companies Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent work capabilities Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with management and C-suite executives Benefits
