The

Director, Grant Strategy

will oversee the organization\'s grants portfolio, including researching and writing corporate, foundation, and government proposals, ensuring compliance with requirements, and managing grant execution. This role will work across departments to gather information for proposals, ensure compliance with grant agreements, and develop reports. Serving as a key communicator within and for the organization, the Director will convey the organization\'s needs and impact to donors. Reporting to the Vice President of Government & External Affairs, the Director, Grant Strategy will join a development and external affairs team of seventeen. This role requires a highly motivated, strategic leader who takes ownership, works independently, and delivers results. Essential Responsibilities

Visionary leadership, with strong delegation, decision-making, conflict resolution and motivation skills. Experience with team management, with the ability to set performance expectations, grant budgets and coordinate cross-functional teams to enhance grant submissions and deliverables. Proactively research, identify, and secure funding opportunities from corporate, foundation, and government sources. Utilize self-direction, strategic creativity, and critical thinking to analyze local funding cycles, philanthropic trends, and evolving grant requirements. Take initiative to stay ahead of shifting funding landscapes. Independently lead the full grant process, including the development, drafting, and submission of high-quality proposals to secure substantial funding. Manage all aspects of grant administration, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, risk oversight, and maintaining accountability throughout the process. Leads the cross-functional Grant Committee, including the agenda, minutes, 3W action plan and follow-up. Generate revenue through the submission of compelling grant proposals, ensuring deadlines are met and grants are successfully secured. Drive measurable impact through focused execution. Effectively communicate any conditions associated with the funds and ensure staff adherence to compliance directives and for proper allocation of grant funding. Monitor, oversee and ensure adherence to grant budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring that funds are allocated strategically and in alignment with project goals. Lead independently within the External Affairs team, initiating innovative strategies to enhance funding pipelines and service delivery. Prepare detailed post-project reports to track outcomes and drive continuous improvement. Represent the organization confidently at corporate and community events, advocating for funding opportunities and building relationships with potential funders. Foster donor relationships. Perform other duties as assigned. This position works full-time, in office at TAFB\'s main campus administration headquarters. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
