Position: ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR-NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION (T228683)

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR-NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION to participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of orientation programs for freshmen, transfer students and their parent/family members. Responsibilities include managing, supervising, and advising the Orientation Leaders (OLs) and the Orientation Leader Coordinators (OLCs), and assisting with the administration of Parent/Family Orientation activities and various office administrative duties. Responsibilities

Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a mandatory New Student Orientation program for undergraduate freshmen and transfer students. Assist with the administration of Parent Orientation as needed. Coordinate the recruitment, selection, training and supervision of student OLs and OLCs. Monitor monies budgeted for the OL program. Represent the office, division and the University on committees and at professional meetings relative to New Student Orientation. Remain knowledgeable and up to date on current trends and best practices in New Student and Parent Orientation. Assist with various office administrative duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Annual Salary: $45,395 - $55,000 Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience. Masters degree preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
