Project Coordinator – Public Improvements role at

in San Diego, supporting the San Diego International Airport with technical clerical and administrative tasks across all phases of offsite public improvement construction projects. Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to project managers, Construction Manager, and Inspectors; draft, format, proofread, edit and route correspondence, memoranda, reports, agreements, amendments, specifications, addenda, certificates, submittals, RFIs, RFQs, consultant and contractor payments, bid documents, closeout forms, staff reports and other documents; draft change orders; prepare directive letters regarding contract compliance; analyze contracts and respond to contractor, client and public issues; ensure timely corrective action. Proofread materials for accuracy, completeness and compliance with Authority and contract standards; maintain data in databases and spreadsheets; route documents for signature. Maintain Bidder and Contractor databases; prepare consultant agreements and amendments; assemble project contract specifications; prepare bid packages and forms; generate bid tabulations; document all incoming and outgoing documents; process and track submittals, RFIs, bulletins and other documents for signature; manage punch-list items; coordinate with Document Control; assist with project closeout procedures. Prepare and distribute staff reports, checklists and related information for construction phases; establish and update project databases, logs and files; file documents; review invoices for conformance with contract provisions and budget; process contract payments and update accrual logs. Assist project staff by preparing memoranda, correspondence and technical documents; monitor progress and approvals; generate reports and materials for meetings; interact with consultants, contractors and outside agencies to ensure compliance with standards; schedule and attend pre-bid conferences, bid openings, pre-construction and progress meetings; prepare announcements and sign-in sheets; transcribe meeting notes. Attend to office administrative details; maintain inventory, order supplies, perform minor repairs; provide training assistance to Project Assistants on construction practices and protocol; guide others to ensure contract compliance. Qualifications

Minimum requirements: High School Diploma + 6 years of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education A valid Class C driver’s license and ability to maintain eligibility under the Airport Authority’s Authorized Drivers Program Successful clearance of TSA background check and drug/alcohol screening is a prerequisite for working at the airport Preferred requirements: Two years of facilities or construction industry administrative experience preferred. Additional information: Sponsorship is not offered for this position. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is

$28 to $48
