The
Director of Residential Services
at Verland is responsible for leading the strategy, oversight, and growth of the ICF efforts throughout the organization while providing growth and leadership to team members within the Residential Services Department. This full-time, salaried, and exempt position requires knowledge and compliance with ICF/MR regulations and other Federal and State laws. The role emphasizes building a culture of inclusion, ensuring health and safety, and meeting the needs of the individuals served through training, monitoring, and accountability of DSPs and supervisors. Responsibilities
Ensure residential managers are knowledgeable about regulations, IPPs, behavioral plans, and records to meet individuals’ needs as outlined in their care plans. Collaborate with clinical, program, risk management, and IDT teams to meet health and safety needs in compliance with regulations. Understand union contracts and serve as liaison with union, families, and agencies. Build strong team relationships through collaboration, communication, and accountability. Lead, mentor, and oversee the residential team to meet goals and initiatives. Develop and evaluate staff development and training programs. Develop policies affecting DSP responsibilities. Coordinate scheduling to meet staffing ratios and needs. Evaluate staff utilization effectiveness. Maintain communication with administrators, department heads, and fiscal departments. Participate in board meetings as needed. Ensure compliance with ethical standards, regulations, and policies, and report concerns appropriately. Benefits
