Director of Distribution Connecting Executives in the Insurtech and Fintech space About the client: High-growth specialty MGA combining modern underwriting, data, and a broker-first digital experience. Strong capacity partners and momentum across priority niches. What you’ll do
Build and execute the broker go-to-market: segmentation, coverage, producer scorecards, quotas, enablement Acquire, appoint, and activate wholesalers and key retail networks; increase submissions and quote-to-bind Deepen executive relationships with national/regional wholesalers while growing retail producer bases in target states Run an operating cadence with CRM discipline, pipeline reviews, forecasts, and territory performance dashboards Close the loop with underwriting and product on appetite, pricing signals, and portal/API priorities based on field feedback Launch repeatable campaigns with marketing: roadshows, webinars, co-marketing, and case studies Partner with carrier/reinsurer capacity providers on growth plans and reporting; oversee producer agreements and compliance What success looks like in 12 months
Net-new active producing brokers delivering bound premium in priority regions Predictable pipeline with faster cycles and higher conversion GWP at or above plan with improving unit economics and broker NPS Clear playbooks, territories, and targets in place and adopted What you’ll bring
8+ years in commercial or specialty insurance distribution with national broker responsibility Experience at a larger carrier and at an insurtech/MGA, with a track record scaling broker channels Established relationships across wholesale networks and key retail brokers in the United States Evidence of building territory models, compensation plans, and enablement that drive sustained GWP growth Data-driven operator: CRM rigor, accurate forecasting, funnel metrics, and account planning Cross-functional collaborator with underwriting, product, marketing, operations, and compliance Nice to have
Exposure to lines such as cyber, excess casualty, management liability, marine, property cat, or other E&S classes Digital distribution experience: portals, APIs/embedded, marketplace or aggregator integrations, comparative raters Lead a pivotal growth function at a scaling specialty MGA Blend enterprise-grade discipline with insurtech speed and autonomy Competitive compensation (base, performance bonus, equity) and benefits; clear path to broader commercial leadership Seniority level
