Position Type: Athletics Date Posted: 8/12/2025 Location: All School Compliance with all Lakeside School policies and procedures. Commitment to providing supports, messaging, actions, and opportunities to a diverse student body who come to school with different and evolving lived experiences and levels of preparation as athletes. Supervision and instruction of student-athletes during team activities. Maintenance and inventory of team equipment and apparel. Support of multi-sport participation for student-athletes. Promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes. At least 25 years of age. Experience coaching crew at the club, high school, or college level. Demonstrated cultural awareness, including knowledge of themselves and the cultural lenses they bring to interactions. Candidates will understand different perspectives, interact respectfully with cultures other than their own, and cultivate meaningful relationships with people who have different cultural frameworks. Possess or obtain prior to the start of the season current First Aid/CPR certification and boater certification. Satisfactorily complete at least two criminal background checks. Lakeside School, an independent 5-12 coeducational day school located in North Seattle is currently recruiting for an Assistant Varsity Girls Crew Coach. This coach will be hired for the fall and spring seasons. The fall season begins Monday, August 25 and ends on Friday, November 3. The spring season begins on Monday, February 23 and ends in mid-May (if boats qualify for Nationals, an additional contract will be offered through mid-June). Lakeside has its own boathouse in Kenmore where this program will be held. Coaches need to be present at the boathouse no later than 3 pm. Each practice will run until approximately 6 pm. There is a required coaches meeting on Monday, August 18, 3:30-6:30 at Lakeside School. Responsibilities

Stipend Range: $6,000-$7,000 (per season) We offer a stipend schedule that compares favorably with peer schools and clubs both locally and nationally. Coaching stipends are paid in monthly installments during the primary competition seasons. Other benefits include Lakeside Athletics apparel and access to funds for professional development.
