Financial Reporting Supervisor

Detroit, Michigan ! This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Leads cross-functional groups in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements or accounting research related to financial statement presentation and disclosures Works directly with external auditors on resolving emerging accounting issues and reporting matters Facilitates and implements process improvements External Reporting specific Coordinates the preparation of external financial reports in compliance with SEC and other regulatory reporting requirements Prepares and reviews drafts of financial statements, footnotes, and management’s discussion and analysis Must Haves: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field 7 years of experience in auditing, financial accounting and/or financial reporting 1-2+ years of people management experience, in most recent roles SEC filing and reporting experience (10K and 10Q experience) Experience with external reporting, preparing external financial reports and auditing Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC reporting requirements to ensure the Company’s compliance in external reports Experience in the application of a broad range of technical accounting and reporting requirements The base pay range for this role is $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr.
