The Glendale Police Department (GPD) is seeking individuals who are committed to keeping Glendale one of the safest big cities in America. We offer a variety of specialized assignments and a career path for you. Responsibilities: Respond to calls for service, provide information and assistance to the public, and emphasize Community-Based Policing philosophy. Administer first aid, interview and record statements, and prepare written reports. Apprehend suspects, enforce traffic laws, and investigate accidents and crimes. Requirements: Graduation from high school or attainment of a State Board of Education issued certificate of proficiency, or attainment of a GED certificate. Valid Class C California driver's license. Ability to provide exceptional customer service, make independent judgments, and speak Korean at a fluent level. Selection Process: Complete the "Law Enforcement - Frontline National" exam through the National Testing Network by November 6, 2025. Physical Agility Test, Preliminary Background Questionnaire, and Oral Interview. Performance Test to assess bilingual abilities in Korean. Background Investigation and medical evaluation.
