Overview
High School Success & College Access Specialist The High School Success & College Access Specialist plays a vital role in preparing students to thrive academically, personally, and professionally as they transition from high school to higher education. This position provides individualized and group-based support to help students identify, pursue, and achieve their postsecondary goals. The Specialist guides students through the college selection and application process, offers one-on-one coaching to build strong academic and extracurricular profiles, and ensures that students are aware of a wide range of college and career pathways. The role also serves as a resource for families by facilitating workshops and providing individualized assistance with financial aid applications, including FAFSA and CSS Profile completion. It requires monitoring of student progress, proactive intervention when challenges arise, and collaboration with school staff, community partners, and families to keep students on track for graduation and postsecondary success. The ideal candidate is student-focused, culturally responsive, and committed to expanding educational opportunity. Note:
