Confidential Quality Management System Coordinator Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Quality Management System (QMS) Coordinator

to join our team at a leading distributor and manufacturer serving a global customer base. The QMS Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and ensuring compliance with our quality management systems, including

ISO 9001

and

IATF 16949

standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting continuous improvement, overseeing internal audits, managing supplier and customer quality processes, and facilitating effective communication between departments.

Responsibilities Quality Management Systems (QMS):

Manage and maintain the company’s QMS in accordance with

ISO 9001

and

IATF 16949

standards.

Support the development, implementation, and revision of quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Coordinate internal and external quality audits (certification, customer, supplier), including audit planning, execution, findings, and corrective actions.

Ensure timely follow-up and closure of audit non-conformities and continuous improvement actions.

Maintain quality records and documentation in compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.

Customer Quality & Non-Conformities:

Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities; lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Serve as the point of contact for quality-related customer communications and quality performance metrics.

Prepare reports and trend analysis on customer returns, warranty claims, and quality KPIs.

Vendor/Supplier Quality Management:

Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality metrics, and audit results.

Collaborate with procurement and engineering to qualify new suppliers and manage supplier corrective actions.

Conduct periodic supplier audits and assessments in line with IATF 16949 requirements.

Product Quality & Testing:

Oversee quality control activities and coordinate with production teams to ensure products meet specifications and standards.

Support incoming and final inspection processes and implement improvements to testing and verification procedures.

Maintain and calibrate measurement and test equipment in accordance with established schedules.

Train staff on quality standards, QMS procedures, and audit readiness.

Champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

Participate in cross-functional quality improvement projects using tools such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Control Plans.

Qualifications Required:

3+ years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing or distribution, preferably in the automotive or industrial sector.

Strong knowledge of

ISO 9001

and

IATF 16949

standards.

Experience in quality auditing, customer complaint resolution, and supplier quality management.

Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, CAPA, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience with ERP and QMS software systems.

Familiarity with APQP, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles.
