Quality Management System (QMS) Coordinator Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Management System (QMS) Coordinator to join their team at a leading distributor and manufacturer serving a global customer base. The QMS Coordinator will use PPAP framework for maintaining, improving, and ensuring compliance with our quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting continuous improvement, overseeing internal audits, managing supplier and customer quality processes, and facilitating effective communication between departments. Based onsite in central NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the company’s QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, including policies, procedures, and documentation.

Plan, coordinate, and close out internal/external audits; ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Lead customer quality processes: investigate complaints, perform root cause analysis, implement CAPA, and report on quality KPIs.

Oversee supplier quality management: evaluate performance, qualify new vendors, conduct audits, and drive corrective actions.

Support product quality and testing, including inspections, equipment calibration, and collaboration with production to meet specifications.

Provide training on quality standards, promote continuous improvement, and participate in cross-functional initiatives using FMEA, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in a quality role within industrial manufacturing or distribution.

Proficiency in PPAP and ISO 9001 processes and standards.

Experience in quality auditing, customer complaint resolution, and supplier quality management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with ERP and QMS software systems, preferred.

Familiarity with APQP, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles preferred.
