Henry Schein
This position is responsible for performing monthly close activities and accounting functions, including but not limited to journal entries, preparation of supporting schedules, related data, and bank reconciliations. Duties are performed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform day-to-day month-end close activities, including manual journal entries, account reconciliations, trend analysis, footnotes, roll-forwards, and other analyses. Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, amortization, prepaids, payroll, using JD Edwards, Macola, and Great Plains Dynamics. Conduct analyses, bank reconciliations, and AR/AP sub-ledger reconciliations. Liaise with management to provide insights into significant account fluctuations. Support process improvements with Business Unit Finance teams to ensure accurate accounting. Manage intercompany account billings and analyze accounts to verify proper posting. Document accounting control procedures and create procedural manuals. Collaborate with Internal and External Auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. Perform Sarbanes-Oxley testing. Work on special projects as requested.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Experience in Distribution or Manufacturing Healthcare industry. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of tools and systems (HFM, Concur, JD Edwards, Hubble, Macola, Microsoft Great Plains, QAD). Ability to interpret and analyze data. Knowledge of GAAP. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.

Travel less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands.
The salary range for this position is $61,085 to $106,898, reflecting the starting base salary for new employees to fully proficient ones. Factors influencing pay include education, experience, skills, certifications, location, internal equity, etc. This position may also be eligible for a bonus based on performance.
