Connecting Top Talent to Top Companies | Accounting & Finance Recruiter LHH is partnering with a growing company in San Diego to identify a Financial Analyst for a temporary engagement focused on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role is ideal for a data‑savvy analyst who blends strong accounting fundamentals with advanced Excel skills and enjoys turning complex data into actionable insights. What You’ll Do
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles; build, update, and maintain models. Perform variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and deliver concise commentary. Compile and refine management reports, dashboards, and executive readouts. Analyze actuals to identify trends, drivers, and risks; recommend corrective actions. Partner cross‑functionally to gather, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources. Work across multiple databases and a central data warehouse that feeds downstream systems; ensure data consistency and integrity. Respond to ad hoc requests from the finance leadership team with speed, accuracy, and professionalism. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field Minimum of 3 years of finance and accounting knowledge in a similar role Demonstrated experience compiling reports and delivering variance analysis. Strong understanding of actuals and business performance analysis. Comfort working with multiple databases and navigating a primary data warehouse that feeds other systems. Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling, MACROS). Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL a plus Budgeting experience and the ability to meet tight deadlines and changing priorities. Strong communication skills for cross‑functional partnering and executive updates. Benefits
