Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 annually plus bonus About the Role A full-service hotel in San Diego is seeking a Hotel Controller to oversee financial operations, manage budgets, analyze financial data, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The Hotel Controller will work closely with department leaders to produce accurate financial statements, optimize performance, and contribute to the overall success of the property. Responsibilities Oversee daily financial operations, including general ledger and reconciliations Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP and hospitality finance practices Partner with operations leadership to drive profitability and efficiency Lead financial audits and internal control procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in the hospitality industry (hotel or food & beverage strongly preferred) Demonstrated ability to meet strict monthly deadlines and produce accurate P&Ls Strong financial management, reporting, and budgeting skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems Experience with M3 (integrated with Aloha and StayNTouch) preferred Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act, Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
